Today is my daddy's birthday. Let me tell you what goes on here when it is somebody's birthday. The b'day person gets up and goes about their day normaly then the rest us get together and pull out the gifts (if there are any) then ambush the b'day person and sing happy b'day. Now that i don't have to get up at that ungodly hour of the morning anymore this usually requires that I get my black ass out of bed, which I really didn't want to do this morning. Anyway so my bro and sis eventually got me to get out of bed and into pants and we went to find my father. It was almost comical. He was just coming out of the kitchen and practically walked into me so he said g'mornin then the other 2 appear behind me and we're all standing in front of him and he's looking at us like 'What is this?'. Then he gets it either because he remembers that this is what happens on your birthday or he saw the gift bags in their hands. So he starts to sing happy birthday to himself because unless my mom is there the rest of us pretty much wait for somebody to start (when she's there too but she starts). So we join in, its funny, we finish and he says he didn't even remember today was his b'day and judging by his facial expression he really didn't.
My mom left this little briefcase looking thing for me to wrap for him. And yesterday me and my bro got him a silver tie pin coz I think we lost his and my sis wanted to get him a tie but we went to the mall and only ONE store sells ties and they were all crap (all 40 or 50 of them). That "mall" is a story for another entry. Anyway i think my dad liked his gifts i went back to bed after he opened them but I would bet that he wore a tie today just so he could wear his new pin if not sunday it's going to church for sure. (the sunday after that is my turn). Yes my bro and I were shamelessly shopping for stuff that we would wear also coz we wear his ties atleast.

Tday is also my friend's birthday. I gotta call her. Speaking of makin calls I have to also call my only friend from highschool that I still talk to. I have not called him since I got back - shameful isn't it? Speaking of school friends, yesterday I saw one of my best friends from that time in a store, small talk ensued. And of course I saw some guys in town from that time that I really would rather never see again with them it was just the head nod, yeah you know it.

I feel so stinky, I guess it has been 24 hours since my last shower coz I left home so early yesterday and i need to wash my hair coz I cut it yesterday and if u not a black man u don't know the amount of little pieces of hair that stay on yr head so i'm off to the shower.
